Day 2 - am

Did the space needle, was cold up top but pretty awesome! Got the monorail to it! Now we've arrived at pike place market but more on that later!

Day 1 ends, day 2 begins

K is sleeping again so I thought I'd update about last night.

We checked into the hotel which is across from the amazing seattle library then headed straight back out on a cheesecake factory mission!

We walked down to the main shopping area which is only a few blocks from the hotel and passed some nice shops and great architecture.

We passed old navy which excited k, but we didn't stop. We were on a mission.

We got to the cheesecake factory and for the first time ever didn't have to wait for a table. A good start.

We both got root beer and k got the bbq burger in homage to sheldon from big bang theory and I got the Memphis burger. The most amazing burger. Ever! A cheeseburger topped with pulled pork and coleslaw, it is as if they entered my mind to create my perfect burger! We both ate half of our burgers and got the other half to take away.

By this point it was 6am uk time and I had hit a wall so we went back to the hotel via walgreens to get some toothpaste etc and conked out.

Sadly we both woke up at 430am this morning, couldn't get back to sleep so planned our day and ate our leftovers from last night for breakfast.

Then suddenly at about 7 k fell asleep again and is now snoring as I write this!

I can't wait for today, the space needle is our first stop.

445am - sleepless in seattle!

Arrived

We have arrived at the hotel and it is lovely! We had to sit on the plane for 2.5 hours at heathrow before it took off, yuck! It was boiling!

Flight was long but ok, flying over the rockies was amazing!

Going out for dinner now, even though it is 4am uk time!

Terminal 5

One flight down, one to go.

the flight was pretty uneventful until we approached our destination. We went a big low circuit of London and we could see the sights, both our old works and our old yard pretty clearly, amazing!

We are currently sitting in the new and flashy terminal 5 at heathrow having some lunch at giraffe before our super long second flight.

Airport

Checked in, currency collected now our day of travelling begins. We don't arrive til midnight uk time but it will only be 4pm over there so we'll need to push on!

Making a list, checking it twice!
